Hey 33rd!
I'm sure we're all very sian that we haven't got to train together for some while... =) so I'm just wondering whether you all would like to go for the one star kayaking course with OAC. Mr Ling happened to mention to me during our traffic control duty that OAC would be going for it and I asked him whether we could go along. He said no prob, so if you all are interested and have no strong objections we'll remind him again and I'll talk to the OAC sea chief who's from my class. It won't be so soon but I thought better bring it up before I forget. Think it'll be quite fun lah...
We're doing rock climbing with them anyway and some of them might go for the Mt K trip I think. Know we always like to niao OAC but honestly I'm sure we all have friends there lah, so yeah try to be nice. =D
See you all around!

TAHAN 2008!
hello dears
this is my first post and my first time using blogspot! i was clicking and realise i have so many photos for tahan i might as well start with JUMPSTART -right from the beginning of the year!

yeah, so while you innocent j1s are having orientation and flirting and dancing, we your seniors were spending days and nights preparing for the orientation hikes, and most of all the publicity -thats where you see all the stickers and brochures, and creatively one sticker has a waterfall picture in it that says 'C'um on':)
okay then for the next few weeks you came and went and some came back again and then some joined us. in any case it was a crazy amount of work but luckily we had a great team:) and a great time with you guys too! hahaha so here are some pictures of one of our ORIENTATION HIKES -those who missed it, shame on you!
camwhoring! i thought they two looked alike
<---notice chuan han's lips -i bet he just finished saying 'f**k you' -looks like it!

it looks like you all are havinjg qute alot of fun too!
and if those of you remember that day when you all were at macritchie the APPOLLO FAC HEAD was there too lol. here hes teaching fac dance.
okay people, thats all for now. i wanted more but blogspot has proven to be too challenging for me.
and for J2s like me, exams is always on mind, so after this i am gonna return and do my differentiation.
BYE!

Aspiring Mountaineer Programme
The following is Ms Liew's message regarding AMP
Hi,
Having participated in the OE programmes organised for you in June, you may want to consider attending the Aspiring Mountaineer Programme.
The Singapore Women's Everest Team (SWET) is orgaining an Aspiring Mountaineer Programme on 2nd and 3rd Aug.
SWET was formed in 2004 with the aim of sending the first team of Singaporean women to the top of the world's highest peak--Mount Everest, at 8848m. Following a rigorous training schedule over a period of four years, we now have an impressive number of climbs under our belt. SWET has also entered the Singapore Guiness Book of Records for climbing above the infamous "Death Zone" in excess of 8000m in altitude (Mount Cho Oyu, 8201m).
On 2 August, SWET is launching its inaugural Aspiring Mountaineers' Programme (AMP). The AMP combines a motivational sharing segment, personal goal-setting and a hands-on experience to fully engage our youth participants. AMP is a community outreach initiative by SWET. It is their way of sharing our learning experiences with youths and through our personal example, encourage our youths to dare to dream.
In addition, on 3rd Aug at Yishun Safra, they will hold a workshop which includes a series of activities (such as artificial ice-wall climbing, abseiling and rope ascending) spanning 4 hours to stimulate a mini Everest experience.
You can look at the attached document for more details about the programme.
