why you tahan?
33rd Tahanners finally embarked on their journey to conquer Mount Tahan yesterday. Well, i sure miss them loads by now, esp you-know-who x)
well, i got some updates about them ^^
they stayed at Hotel Sri Emas when they arrived at Jerantut. Someone complained that it was too cold..
DAY 2, they went to Kuala Tahan today by coach, i think. It was a 1-hour-long trip, which some of them find it torturous... =0 Jin long, kai liang & oon beng were car-sick and vomited throughout the journey. & jin long disgustingly vomited all his dinner all over his brand new Tahan shirt (jin long, you shall pay for dirtying our shirt!) bad news =( there is a possibility that jin long will not join them to trek because he is in a really dire condition where he will vomit out everything that reaches his stomach. poor thing. Jin Long, hang in there! we are supporting you although we are not there physically ^^ show us the TAHAN spirit! The worst scenario will be Shee Zhi Qiang not going up the mountain, but accompanying jin long back to spore. We'll know the final decision by tomorrow morning.
Other than having to redistribute the loads, they faced financial difficulties too. Due to miscommunication, they only found out at Kuala Tahan that the guide fees was RM 2400, rather than the estimated RM 1200. That is a whopping amount of cash!! Luckily, they brought along emergency cash & together with $$ contributed by every Tahanner, they managed to come up with the huge sum of $. Guide fees settled! 1 problem solved, yay! ^^
33rd Tahanners, don't be disheartened by these little insignificant obstacles =) think of all the trainings we survived and all of us who are waiting to welcome you back from the Tahan summit ^^ keep the morale & team spirit high! go Tahanners!! =p
